Considering battery storage?
Simple, straight forward eneergy storage.
Many DNO’s are imposing a restriction on how much power can be put back into the grid from your own power generation (normally Solar PV). So, instead of installing an export limited system we ask customers to consider the option of implementing battery storage.
Why? Well, whilst it is attractive to ‘sell’ some energy back to the suppliers, why not harness that energy for yourself. Not only is that cheaper than having to buy any energy should you need it but also helps in situations where the local DNO has imposed an export limitation on your installation. It is a win/win scenario for not as much additional investment as you might think!
